The eleven room wattle and daub home is the oldest surviving dwelling in WA and the oldest of this construction type in Australia. Do you know what wattle and daub is? It is a mixture of woven sticks, mud and Cow dung!! But wattle was a shrub they used in the UK in Australia Acacia was often used hence its nickname of Wattle
